Cooroy Fusion: The Cooroy Fusion Festival this Sat 9 May in the Cooroy Mill Place precinct, Noosa hinterland, 9am-3.30pm has live music, wildlife, woodwork and orchid shows, Aboriginal stories and music, great food, animal farm, classic cars, children’s fun, markets, workshops and … bubble soccer! On the main stage, see Isaac McGovern from The Voice, Andrea Kirwin, Triple Minx, Little Sees Theatre Company and more. Entry to the main festival is free

Amazing race: See the ultimate challenge down under as the international Ultraman event comes to Noosa for the first time, 9-11 May. Ultra athletes will do a 10km swim, 420km bike ride and 84.4km run through the region. The opening is in front of Noosa Heads Surf Club this Sat at 5.50am before the ocean swim starts. Stage 1 bike race through the Noosa hinterland starts from the surf club car park on Sat 7.30am and stage 2 starts 5.30am Sunday. River festival: The Noosa Boathouse Stone and Wood River Festival on Thurs 14 May will have great food and music on the Noosa Boathouse lawn, Gympie Tce, Noosaville, 3-10pm. Grab a beer from the Bonnie the Caravan mobile bar, sit back and listen to tunes from Mick Lindsay and East of Eden, and enjoy street food from Noosa Boathouse chef Shane Bailey. Free entry. Food and wine: The Noosa International Food and Wine Festival kicks off on Thurs 14 May with the Westpac Ruby Luncheon, food trails and guest chef lunches. The festival continues in Festival Village, Lions Park, Noosa Heads and at restaurants around town until Sunday 17 May with some of the best international and Australian chefs, food producers, winemakers, entertainers and foodies for 4 days of fun, food, wine and music.

Mt Tinbeerwah (wheelchair access) is only a 10-min drive from Noosa Heads, along Noosa-Cooroy Rd and turn right into Tinbeerwah Rd. Anzac centenary: Dawn services and Anzac Day parades will be held around Noosa this Sat 25 April, including a special dawn service tribute on Noosa Main Beach. A Gallipoli landing tribute at 4.30am in front of Noosa Surf Club will be followed by a service. Courtesy buses from Noosa Junction Transit Centre to Hastings Street from 4am, returning 5.30am. Noosa Heads Lions Park open for car parking 3.30-730am. Dawn services will also be held at the Cooroy cenotaph at 4.55am, Coolum cenotaph at 5.20am and Verrierdale Hall at 6am. The main parade steps off from Sidoni St, Tewantin at 9am with riders from the Australian Light Horse Brigade, NZ Veterans Band and a warbird flyover. The Cooroy memorial service is in Memorial Hall, Maple St at 11.15am. The Eumundi commemorative walk leaves Caplick Park, Memorial Drive at 7.30am. The Yandina service is at 11am.
