Jonah from Newcastle is showing off a moses perch, Malyk from Sydney has bragging rights with a decent trevally, his sister a nice whiting and together they have a good sized flathead. Well done kids and we hope you had a great holiday in Noosa.
Danial from New Zealand is showing off a nice blue swimmer that was pulled up in our crab pots. He made a yummy tasting when steamed up in our special sauce a bit later. Also we have Phillip from Sydney with a nice 35cm whiting he caught.
There have been an assortment of catches lately right throughout the river. Happy tourists showing off their catch are Charlie from Melbourne, Daniel and Isaac from Sydney, Luke from Brisbane and a big shovel nose ray all caught this week on the Noosa River Fishing and Crab Adventure boat.
Angela and Vicki were up from Sydney and on a recent tour on the Fishing and Crab Adventure boat and showing off a nice flathead and whiting they caught.
Isaac was on holidaying in Noosa from Sydney and ventured out on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure boat.
Noosa River fishing proves to be great for the kids, and the big kids and this nice flathead was just one of the results and great memories.
Fishing has been excellent over the holidays with the river mouth showing the way with typical good catches of flathead, bream, whiting, tailor and trevally.
The Frying Pan, dog beach and Woods Bays also produced quality bream, whiting, fleathead and golden trevally with the odd queenfish and big shovel nosed rays on the prowl. There are still a few quality mangrove jacks about the lower reaches, deeper parts and structures but more on the bite at night.
The back of Noosa Sound have trevally and bream whilst Weyba Creek is good for a few bream, flathead, moses perch and the odd estuary cod.
There are some large whiting on the sand flats through Noosaville along with bream, flathead and best catches are on live beach worms or yabbies or prawns.
With the recent rains there are still plenty of catfish about and especially up past Tewantin so be careful when de-hooking them as they have a nasty spike. Between the catfish up river before the car ferry and at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah there are still good catches of grunter bream, flathead and some whiting and trevally.
You may even hook the odd threadfin salmon or school jewfish. The best tide is either side if the high tide when it has a bit of run and movement.
Mud crabs have also been plentiful and flushed further down river of late.
It will be a touch cooler this week but perfect for boating with only the odd shower about forecast for the weekend.
Until next week good luck from the boys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
The recent rains have produced plenty of Mud Crab movement and the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure boat is delighting their customers.
Showing off some crabs pulled up on the weekend are Lucas from Brisbane, Tate from Brisbane and James.

Alex and Sassy were up from Sydney and ventured out on a Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure. They are pictured showing off an estuary cod and a nice 41cm flathead. They had a great day and lots of fun.
Lots of muddies have been washed down Noosa River after the pre-Easter rains so if your venturing out take a few crab pots as well worth setting them. Keep in mind only males about 15cm across the body can be kept and are legal.
Young Lauren from Brisbane ventured out on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure tour as was stoked to land this nice 38cm tailor. She caught it on a live herring near the river mouth.
The fishing has been good over the Easter break and with the pre-deluge of rain the tannon leached from the tea trees have darkened the water considerably.
However at the river mouth on each side of the high tide the water is clearer and producing some good qu7ality flathead, trevally, bream and a few chopper tailor and queenfish. Whiting are in the shallows, with bream and flathead in the deeper water in numbers at the Frying Pan, dog beach and the Woods Bays. Woods Point and bays also have golden trevally on the prowl.
Best baits for whiting are live worms or yabbies and for bream and flathead try mullet strips or live baitfish and lures for the larger varieties at the river mouth.
From Munna beach through the Noosaville reaches to the Noosa Marina there are whiting being caught to 35cm on the sand flats, bream and flathead on the drift.
As you venture further up river you will encounter plenty of catfish that have moved down with the fresh water from the rains but there are still some good catches of sooty grunter, whiting and flathead among them.
If you are heading out at night there are still plenty of mangrove jacks at the river mouth, around snags in deeper holes and the mangroves up to 55cm.
Lots of muddies have been washed out too so take a couple crab pots to set.
The weeks weather is looking fabulous with mostly sunny days and just the odd shower about towards the weekend later in the day.
