Noosa River Weely Fishing Report

Isaac SydneyIsaac was on holidaying in Noosa from Sydney and ventured out on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure boat.
Noosa River fishing proves to be great for the kids, and the big kids and this nice flathead was just one of the results and great memories.

Fishing has been excellent over the holidays with the river mouth showing the way with typical good catches of flathead, bream, whiting, tailor and trevally.
The Frying Pan, dog beach and Woods Bays also produced quality bream, whiting, fleathead and golden trevally with the odd queenfish and big shovel nosed rays on the prowl. There are still a few quality mangrove jacks about the lower reaches, deeper parts and structures but more on the bite at night.
The back of Noosa Sound have trevally and bream whilst Weyba Creek is good for a few bream, flathead, moses perch and the odd estuary cod.
There are some large whiting on the sand flats through Noosaville along with bream, flathead and best catches are on live beach worms or yabbies or prawns.
With the recent rains there are still plenty of catfish about and especially up past Tewantin so be careful when de-hooking them as they have a nasty spike. Between the catfish up river before the car ferry and at the mouth of Lake Cooroibah there are still good catches of grunter bream, flathead and some whiting and trevally.
You may even hook the odd threadfin salmon or school jewfish. The best tide is either side if the high tide when it has a bit of run and movement.
Mud crabs have also been plentiful and flushed further down river of late.
It will be a touch cooler this week but perfect for boating with only the odd shower about forecast for the weekend.

Until next week good luck from the boys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
