The river has been firing again this week with plenty of Bream, Trevally and Flathead as well as the occasional whiting being caught. Bream as well as Grunter Bream have been caught in and around the deeper holes and structures such as the Sheraton Bridge on prawns and worms. While some good catches of Golden and Diamond Trevally have also been down river with the best spots being near the river mouth on the full tide. Finally, Flathead have been caught in numbers with the sandbags and rock wall near the dog beach being a good spot to fish for them, there’s also been reports of them up near the cable ferry. There has also been reports of Whiting around on the edge of Goat Island in the early morning and late afternoon. The next week should bring plenty of sunshine and some more great fishing conditions.
