Rob Dawson up on a break with his family was chuffed when he landed this nice trevally whilst on an O Boat Hire pontoon.
Fishing was quite good with catches of trevally, bream and the odd tailor were sought at the Woods Bay, Frypan and Weyba Creek. Also there were mangrove jack, tarwine, bream and estuary cod up Weyba Creek and between the first ski run to the mouth of Lake Cooroibah. Whiting were slow but still a few good size in 3 to 5 feet of water on the sand banks of Noosa River.
Both tides are working and try lures, soft plastics for targeting flathead, trevally and bream, live herring for Jacks and worms for whiting. Drifting for flathead with baitfish in the Noosaville reaches should pay dividends also.
Just the odd shower about for most of the week but keep an eye on the swell from the forming cyclone afar for outside fishing.
Until next week good luck from the boys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
