Lachlan was on holidays from South Australia and landed this nice 35cm bream whilst on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure tour. Good catch that.
Bream have been caught throughout the Noosa River this week with large ones being landed inside the river mouth, Frying Pan and Woods Point. Also a few flathead and trevally are on the bite and peeled prawns and mullet strips are being taken. Both tides are fishing well so there are no slack fishing periods.
The Woods Bay, Munna bridge and Noosa Sound are good for a few big trevally on the prowl, the odd flathead and mangrove jack into the night.
The Noosaville reaches up to Noosa Marina have plenty of active bream in the deeper parts, a few whiting and flathead on the drift. Try jigging some live bait and plastics to increase the attraction to lure the bigger fish also.
Between the ski run and the Noosa Ferry should be ok for bream, flathead, trevally and the odd threadfin salmon have also been taken. Just before the Lake Cooroibah entrance trevally, flathead and the odd mangrove jack are on the bite.
There are a few blue swimmer crabs still about in the Noosaville reaches to Woods Bay and the odd muddy about also if you’re looking for a feed of crabs.
Mostly sunny this week with some cloud early mid week and a slight possibility of a shower on Saturday but otherwise another great week ahead to enjoy.
Until next week good luck from the guys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
