The two John’s from far afield with one from New Zealand and the other in England had a great day on the #NoosaFishingandCrab Adventure. Nothing better than pulling up a crab pot and 30mins later a gourmet tasting on a plate.
The Father’s Day weekend produced some excellent catches for all the dad’s having a day’s fishing on #NoosaRiver with flathead, bream and whiting all in good numbers. The river mouth and Frying Pan performed well for these as well as the odd tailor. The Woods Bay, Munna Beach and the Gympie Terrace were good for flathead and whiting particularly on live worms and yabbies on the sand banks. Weyba Creek had flathead, whiting, bream and mangrove jacks around the structures and mangroves.
Up river at the ski run and before the car ferry, school jew were active along with large flathead, grunter and yellow fin bream and whiting on the flats. Jew fish were also in numbers between the top lakes along with a few jacks.
The run in tide is fishing best in the lower reaches and the bigger fish are being caught on live baits, white bait and fish and lures.
If you going out for the day throw in a couple crab pots also as there are some nice muddies still about throughout most of the river system.
It’s warming up to the mid/late 20’s midweek with only some cloud and a possible shower on Saturday for the rest of the week.
Until next week good luck from the guys at #NoosaFishingandCrabAdventures.
