Sam from the Gold coast caught this nice 50cm flathead while onboard the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures tour.
This week has seen some great mixed bags coming from the rivermouth with flathead, whiting and bream to 34cm from Woods bays to the frying pan. The runout tide has been the best as the run in tide makes the water too clear. The best bream baits have been prawns pillys and mullet fillets while the flathead have taken prawns and herring. There are still a few sandcrabs through the lower reaches as most people have been catching them on there lines and using a landing net to scoop them before they let go when they see the boat. The Tewantin reaches have produced good size flathead on floating pilchards. There has been good size trevally up at the mouth of lake Cooroibah along with grunter bream and bream.
Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
