Well the rain has brought the fishing to life this week with great catches of fish and a few mud crabs on the move. The river mouth has produced quality flathead up to 2 kilo, with live herring and prawns bringing the best results. Golden trevally in large schools have also been on the move, with early morning producing quality fish. In Tewantin opposite the marina has seen a mixed bag of bream flathead and grunter bream. We fished the first lake yesterday and the catfish were around in abundance, but it was well worth dropping a crab pot up there. The wind is about, however the fishing is still worth giving a go. Its easy to get out of the wind and fish in secluded areas such as Woods Bay and Lake Weyba.
Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
