Great Fun, Great Food, Great Adventure... a Great Day!!!

Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

Gary had a great day out on his recent Noosa River fishing safari adventure when up on holidays from Muswellbrook, NSW. His 63cm flatty wasn’t a bad catch either.

The waterways were busy with boaties over the holidays and we saw some good catches throughout the Noosa River. Good sized bream, flathead and the odd tailor were active inside the river mouth and Frying Pan in the deeper waters with mullet strips producing best catches.

The Woods Bay and Munna Bridge had some big trevally about with bream and a few tailor and whiting on the bite. Lures and bait fish were working well as were live herring if you were to get some.

Weyba Creek was good for a few bream, flathead and the odd estuary cod and the ski run for trevally and some school jew early in the mornings. Drifting for flathead at both ends of Lake Cooroibah on high tide and the run out should see successes and some good trevally about also.

For a feed of blue swimmer crabs the Tewantin and Noosaville reaches are good to try and still the odd muddy about also.

Apart from a few showers predicted early this week it looks like clearing up for more mild glorious sunny days and cool nights through to next week.

Until next week good luck from the guys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
