Rachael, Len and Abby were all smiles and had a great day out on the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventure tour when up on holidays from Sydney.
It’s not always about catching that big one as small fish are sweet.

The fishing has been patchy with the heavy holiday boating activity but still some good results. The river mouth has flathead, bream and the odd tailor on the bite with whiting, bream and flathead active in the Frying Pan.
The Woods Point and Bay is good for flathead, whiting, trevally and the odd tailor and Noosa Sound and Weyba Creek has bream, flathead, estuary cod and jacks into the night. The Noosaville reaches is seeing good flathead caught on live baits or mullet strips but drifting is the best way to go and quite a few bream about too.
From Tewantin, at the Noosa marina up to the first lake is the most active stretch however lots of small fish are on the bite but some nice surprises among them.
If your keen to venture out at night, mangrove jacks and the odd school jew are being caught up to 50cm in the deeper holes and around the mangroves from the river mouth to Lake Catharaba. Sand crabs are still on the move in Weyba Creek also and a few muddies in the Gympie Terrace stretch to the top lakes.
On Thursday night one angler got a prize 1m long barra on a live poddy mullet off Culgoa Point which gave him a great story to tell whilst on holidays.
Each side of the high tide is giving best results and best when on the run.
The same forecast continues with a shower or two all this week and an odd storm but as we have seen, plenty of good weather in between to get among them.
