Great Fun, Great Food, Great Adventure... a Great Day!!!

Noosa River Weekly Fishing Report

Young Will had a great tour on Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures and landed the catch of the day with a healthy flathead caught at Lake Cooroibah over the Easter holidays. She was returned to fight another day after the photo shoot.

The Easter break saw a hive of activity on the water with perfect conditions throughout. The river produced some good fishing with plenty of whiting, bream, flathead and trevally mainly in the lower reaches. Try both sides of the river near the mouth, the Woods Bay and the back of Noosa Sound in the deeper holes for most varieties.

The quieter areas like Weyba Creek, Noosa Marina at Tewantin and just before the ferry crossing were good for flathead, bream, whiting, the odd moses perch, estuary cod and mangrove jack into the evenings.

Live baits such as herring are working for prime  larger fish, live worms for whiting and bream and fresh prawns in general for most varieties.

Both tides are fishing well but avoid the hour each side of the low tide and keep on the move if fishing gets quiet and try drifting also.

The perfect weather is continuing through the holidays with only a slight chance of a shower over the weekend.

Until next week good luck from the guys at Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures.
