The fishing Noosa River this week has been good with several positive reports both in the fishing and crabbing department. There a lots of bream in the river mainly around deeper holes and structures such as the Sheraton bridge and the river mouth. Although bream are known to eat just about anything, prawns and mullet strips have been producing the best results this week. The river mouth is a ripper of a fishing spot at the moment with several reports of good size tailor and trevally surrounding the rock wall about two hours either side of the high tide. When heading up the river more, the stretch from Tewantin to the first lake has seen some great size flathead using soft plastics and prawns. When fishing for flathead, it’s best to cast just off a sandflat. The crabbing has been great in the river with several legal buck mud crabs caught aboard the Noosa Fishing and Crab Adventures over the past week. The weather is forecasted to be mostly clear with light winds. Now is a great time to get outside and wet a line.
Until next week good luck from the boys at O Boats.
