Noosa River Fishing report

Heading into Christmas the river has been throwing up some fantastic fishing conditions with plenty of Bream, Flathead, and Trevally being caught. There’s been plenty of Grunter Bream caught this week with the edges of Goat Island and the river mouth being the hotspots and prawns and worms being the best bait. Some good size Flathead have been hanging around the Ferry crossing and Makepeace Island. While Golden Trevally have been around the River Mouth and Noosa Sound areas, mostly on the high tide. The next week should bring great fishing conditions with warm and sunny weather. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and catch plenty of fish over the holidays.

Noosa River fishing report

This week there’s been a diverse range of fish with plenty of catches. Bream, Flathead, Tailor, Mangrove Jack, and Golden Trevally have all been caught in the river this week. Bream again have been just about everywhere in the river with prawns and worms being the most successful baits to target them. Flathead have been around in the upper part of the river between the Marina and the cable ferry. Tailor and Golden Trevally have been caught on the high tide around the river mouth with the early morning and late afternoon being the best time to go for them. While some nice Mangrove Jack have been caught around the entrance to Sheep Island. The weather is starting to fine up again with some great conditions taking us through to next weekend.

Noosa River fishing report

This week the river has shown steady fishing conditions with some good catches being reported. Bream, Flathead and Golden Trevally have been caught this week with the dirtier waters from the rain helping to produce some nice catches. Flathead have been most common up river with the ski run and cable ferry areas having the most luck. Bream can be found almost anywhere in the river from the first lake down to the river mouth. Good catches of Golden Trevally have been reported at the River mouth with the high tide being the best time to try for them. The next week should bring plenty of sun with a few showers and storms in between.

Noosa River fishing report

This week the river has been firing with some good catches of Whiting, Bream and Flathead. Bream have been biting the most with good catches from Noosa Sound right up to the ferry crossing. Prawns and worms have been the most successful bait for targeting the Bream this week. There’s been plenty of whiting around at the river mouth with early morning being the best time to find them. Flathead have been caught again with the upper end of the river near the Noosa Marina being a good spot to hook them. The next week should bring mostly sunny conditions with a few showers in between.

This week the river has seen its fair share of fish with Whiting, Bream, Golden Trevally and the occasional Flathead being caught. There’s been some nice Whiting caught in the early mornings and late afternoons throughout the week with the river mouth and frying pan being the best locations to land them. Bream have been caught in numbers and can be found just about anywhere in the river between the river mouth and canals, right up to the start of Lake Cooroibah. Golden Trevally have been well found as well with the Noosa Sound area being the best spot. While the occasional Flathead have been biting in the upper end of the river near the cable ferry crossing. The next week should bring some great fishing conditions with plenty of sunshine and the occasional shower.

Noosa River Fishing report

This week the fish have been biting with some good size Bream, Whiting and Trevally caught in the river. Bream have been on the chew just about everywhere from the River mouth and canals, right up to the ferry crossing with prawns and worms being the most successful bait. Whiting have been spotted on the shallow banks of the river near Munna Point, while some good size Golden Trevally have been biting in the Noosa Sound and the entrance to Keyser Island. The weather for the next week should be fine with some possible showers over the weekend.

This week the river has shown some decent fishing conditions with Whiting, Flathead, Bream and Trevally being caught in parts of the river. Flathead have been caught mostly up river with the entrance to Lake Doonella and around the Marina and Sheep Island being the best spots. Big size Bream of up to 52cm have been caught under structures such as the Sheraton and Munna bridges. Whiting have been best found around the River mouth and Frying pan in the early morning and late afternoon. While some Golden Trevally have been around in the Noosa Sound and canal areas. The next week promises to bring some great sunny weather and ideal fishing conditions.

Noosa River Fishing Report

This week the river has shown some great fishing conditions with plenty of Bream, Whiting and Flathead being caught in the river again. Large sized Bream have been caught in the Sound canals and Sheraton bridge vicinity around the deeper holes and jetties. While Whiting have been around the river mouth in the early morning and near the frying pan on the dropping tide. Finally, Flathead have been caught in numbers this week again with the dirtier waters from the Marina and the ski run the best fishing for them. Next week’s weather should be some great fishing weather with blue skies and warm temperatures.

The rain from last week has brought some great fishing conditions with plenty of Bream, Whiting and Flathead being caught in the river. Large sized Bream have been caught in the woods bay and Sheraton bridge vicinity around the deeper holes and jetties. While Whiting have been everywhere up and down the river with the best spots being near the river mouth in the early morning and on the edges of Goat Island. Finally, Flathead have been caught in numbers with the dirtier waters from the Marina to the first lake being the best fishing for them. The next week should bring plenty of sunshine with some possible showers so get out on the water and enjoy the fishing.

Noosa River Fishing Report
This week the river has seen a heap of fish with whiting and flathead being the most common. Whiting have been around the river mouth and Goat Island with the early morning being the most successful time to catch them. Flathead have been in and around both ends of the river with reports of them being caught between the cable ferry and Lake Cooroibah while there has been others caught near the Munna Point Bridge around 70 centimetres in size. While there’s also been some nice Golden Trevally in the woods bay area. The weekend will bring rain with temperatures dropping so if you’re heading out remember to rug up.
